QR-code queue management
A QR code can connect a printed sign, counter card or reception desk to a browser-based digital queue. Customers scan, open the queue and follow their ticket status on their phone.
How a QR queue works
- Set up a queue in QueueTurn and make its public joining link available.
- Generate or display the QR code linked to that queue.
- Place the code where customers can see it, with a short instruction and a non-QR fallback.
- Customers scan the code, open the page in their browser and follow the on-screen joining steps.
- Staff manage the service order from the QueueTurn dashboard.
Make the sign easy to use
- Print a large, high-contrast QR code and test it on more than one phone.
- Say what happens after scanning; don't assume every customer knows.
- Provide a staff-assisted option for people who cannot scan or use a smartphone.
- Do not ask customers to put sensitive personal or medical information into queue fields.
- Keep the joining link accessible if the QR code is damaged or the camera is unavailable.
