How to Use QueueTurn

This guide explains the purpose of every main dashboard section and the common actions available to business owners and staff. Use it as a checklist when setting up your first digital queue.

Quick start: get a queue running
  1. Sign in to your QueueTurn business dashboard.
  2. Open Settings and check your business name and category.
  3. Open Queues / Appointments and select Create New Queue.
  4. Give the queue a name, choose a ticket prefix and starting number, and set the average service time.
  5. Open QR Code, download or print the code, and put it at your entrance or reception desk.
  6. Open Display Screen on a TV or monitor if you want visitors to see the current ticket.
  7. When service begins, manage visitors from the dashboard and call the next person in line.

1. Dashboard

The Dashboard is the operational overview for your selected queue. It helps you check the current line and access the main queue actions.

Tip: before a busy period, check that the correct queue is active and that staff know who is responsible for calling visitors.

2. Queues / Appointments

Use this section to create and manage separate service lines—for example, general consultation, billing, express service, or a separate counter.

Create New Queue

Manage an existing queue

Pause or resume carefully: tell reception staff what the queue status is so they do not promise check-in while service is paused.

3. Customers

The Customer Directory helps staff find queue entries and review their status.

Use the customer list to resolve questions about a ticket. Do not display or share customer phone numbers or other private details on the public TV screen.

4. Display Screen

Use this section to run a public-facing screen on a smart TV, computer, or tablet in the waiting area.

For a shared screen, test the display before opening time, keep the device powered, and set the browser to full screen. Browser audio may require a first interaction or volume permission.

5. QR Code

This section gives customers a simple way to open the check-in page on their own phones without installing an app.

Place signage at the entrance, reception, or waiting area. Include a short instruction such as “Scan to join the queue.” Provide staff-assisted check-in for visitors who cannot use a QR code.

6. Analytics

Analytics summarizes visitor flow for the active queue. Depending on the data available, the page can show:

Use trends to plan staff coverage and compare busy periods. Verify the date range and queue selection before interpreting results. Treat small samples cautiously; estimates and dashboard summaries are not guarantees of future wait times.

7. Settings

Settings contains business profile and queue-related configuration.

After changing business or queue details, revisit the QR Code and Display Screen sections to make sure your printed signage and shared links still point to the intended queue.

8. Staff Roles

Staff Roles is intended to organize access for people who help operate your queue.

Before inviting real team members, verify the current invitation and permission behavior in your account. Never share an owner's password; give each authorized person their own access.

9. Billing

Billing shows the current plan and available subscription choices.

Always use the prices and included limits displayed in your live account; plan terms can change. Do not retry repeatedly if checkout reports an error—check subscription status first or contact support.

10. What your customers do

  1. Scan the QR code or open the shared customer link.
  2. Follow the prompts to join the intended queue and enter only the information requested.
  3. Keep the ticket/status page available to check progress.
  4. Watch the queue status or public display and proceed when their ticket is called.

Explain the process at reception. Customers without a smartphone should be offered a staff-assisted walk-in entry if your workflow supports it.
